I believe anyone who received their G with Aero Package or Sport Package directly from dealer can have this done at no charge to you.

 

I called the dealer today and they said no go on replacing the rear decklid to remove the interior brakelight. They want to charge me for the part of about $270. Has anyone ordered the part and replaced it themselves? If so, was it an easy job?

 

I like having both brake lights. It helps keep the drivers behind me alert. Especially the ones with a cigarette in one hand, a cell phone in the other and a 60oz slurpee between their legs.

 

I ordered mine w/ everything. As soon as i received it, I noticed teh 3rd brake light and told them I want it fixed. They have refused even after repeated attempts. I would contact Infiniti consumer affairs b/c it's not what I ordered or what I wanted or payed for. However, I've contacted them before and they are completely unresponsive. The dealership tried to charge me for the part as well. I have been very unimpressed with Infiniti's ability (or at least my dealership) to make good on delivering what was ordered in a timely manner. They say you get what you pay for but apparently that's not hte case w/ infiniti. I paid a lot and still didn't get what i asked for.

 

it was a condition of my sale, either they'd remove it or no deal.
