Owners of '05 6MT's, having installed Gordgee's GroundingGear . . . What are your thoughts and/or comments after your installation?

I've logged just a bit over 1K miles on my G and just installed a Z Tube, last night. I am thinking about installing the said wires. I've searched throughout the threads with regard to Gordgee's GG kit. However, most of the positive comments are from AT owners . . . And as such, I am curious to what you '05 6MT owners have to say.

What are the improvements to your G, if any? Any comments and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I read G owners were happier after having switched their grounding wires to Gordgee's. Sun Auto was one of the kits mentioned, among others. As I mentioned in my earlier post, most of the owners were AT owners. It seems that first and foremost the grounding kits improve on the shift lag on AT's.

I didn't see much with regard to 6MT's, which is what I am interested in, especially with comments directed towards '05 6MT's.

I've heard grounding kits are really a big help to ATs and not so much to MTs...One of my fellow G driver friends told me it helps with the shifting while using Tiptronic...That's just me though...do some more research and let us all know...

I just installed The 6MT Performance System full 8 wire package (6, +1, ECU)
on my 05 6mt coupe. I installed the kit without the ecu wire at first and did notice an improvement at idle. It wasn't until I installed the ecu wire and did a ecu reset when I noticed a definite improvement in throttle response, just like others said, it seemed to wake the car up. Not too dificult to install, instructions are simple and clear.

I've had the 8-wire kit on my '05 6MT for a couple of months now. Like the above poster, I didn't notice much of a difference with the initial engine wires. After I installed the ECU wire, the car seemed to smooth out a bit, maybe some better throttle response.

Kind of a toss-up on whether to do it again; I really should disconnect the wires for a while to get a better idea.

Thanks to wood_man and Darth_Bobo for sharing their thoughts and comments with regard to the GroundingGear Kit.

This is one of the mods, which I am thinking about. I'll probably proceed with it in the near future. I'll be sure to post my comments, as well.

Thanks, again!

You don't need to be a premier member to PM. You do need to have a minimum 5 posts and you have only 4. Just post another message....then wait an hour or two and the system will recognize you have 5 posts and allow you to use PM.
