I know the break-in is around 1200 or so but is there a limit to how fast you can go? Like I will be getting mine soon from my hometown and then driving it back to college. When making those trips I crusie around 90 and above so I was wondering if going around 90 and above was ok during the break-in period? Sorry if this sound stupid, I just remb hearing something like that about new cars.

 

one of my friend works for racing team, and yes he told me that's how they break-in thier engine. but not for us, it's not just engine needs to be break-in also transmission brakes suspension, plus racing team replace/rebuild thier engine almost every event, can you pay that kinda money ?
i'd stay with what says in the book

 

Owner's manual says don't go over 80, but I know people who did 100 the second they they had their car and it's running still fine, I have never gone over 100 during breakin or thereafter.

 

Ahaha, my mommy told me never bet on things you are not sure you will win. In this case, I am sure I will lose so imma skip this.

 

um....ive topped out at 122 once on the way back from houston. my avg speed on the highway is 80-90. I have around 1500 miles on it now... was that bad and will is cause wear down later on down the road (no pun intended)?
