This thread, as it presently stands, is USELESS!

There has not been enough info. asked to draw any sort of logical conclusions what-so-ever.

What about coverage amounts? Do you have $50,000 or $300,000 per person per accident? How many people are covered with that coverage amount; 1, 2, 3 or more? What about deductible amounts on comprehensive and collision? Do you have $0 or $5,000 deductibles per accident? What about various types of optional coverage like uninsured motorist, etc...? Don't forget those of us with assets might carry an umbrella policy too.

Unless you have people list their entire policy (and driving record), you can't gain enough info to draw any real conclusions...

...rant off.

You have a good point, so here is some valuable info:

As previously posted:
$398 for 6 months, 10K per year, 100/300 coverage, 250/500 deductible, towing, rental, 1 ticket (but still considered "good driver" for discount).

So cal, car garaged, AAA discount, multi car discount (three), no medical, 35 years young, no accidents (ever......knock on wood), of course uninsured motorist, 100K per person per accident, no aftermarket upgrades added.

that pretty much covers it off the top of my head and without my policy in front of me.

334.10 every 6 months. <15 miles to work, 100/300/100, $500 deduct, homeowner and multi car discount. No accidents and only "defective speedometer" on record so "clean". Garage stored. That's all!

sucks for me

I just moved to Hamden CT and my insurance is nearly double. Geico (and others) want around $1500 for 6 months! I have a clean record and everything. This is for their second highest insurance, but even if I go down a step to 'regular' they want $1300. Blah.

Everyone's quote will be different depending on where you live and driving record. If the original post's intent was to gauge what the average cost would be, I suggest trying out Costco.com. They have Home and Auto insurance through American Express and I got the best price when comparing the to other insurance carriers (Farmers, AAA, State Farm, Mercury, 21st Century). Good Luck

As Rayfield said, car insurance premiums is one of the few benefits of getting older.

I pay The Hartford $1230/yr for a 05 G35C (730) and a 98 Infiniti QX4 (500). Coverage on each is 500K/1M/100K for Bod Inj/PD, 250K/500K for Uninsured Motorist, $200 deductible on Comprehensive and $500 deductible on Collision. Last ticket was 3+ years ago and no accidents for 5+.

About $250/six months as primary vehicle. 100/300/300 coverage that dovetails into my umbrella policy. $250 deductibles on comp/coll/uninsured. Towing and all the other bells and whistles. State Farm. Accident free, long-term policy holder discount, multi-vehicle discount (2 drivers, 3 vehicles), discount for multiple policies (house, vehciles, ATVs, Snowmobiles & related trailers).
