I think you're looking more likely at $7-9k.
Correction, I'm not looking at ANY cost since it's being done by a sponsor, but I see your point.

Hmm, give me a little more clarification on this and I can try. It's a fade. Starts white on the bottom and fades to black (or VERY dark grey) on top with a red splash pattern on it, so do you mean for the car to be white on the bottom and black on top with that red splash on the fade line? Not quite sure what you're going for here...

Thanks for all the props guys. I've been a web designer for MANY years (since 95) but never had any real graphics design training. Just been using photoshop since v2.5 out of necessity, so I've had years of trial and error. I'm convinced Photoshop is the single most badass application ever developed =)

Randy, until I hear back from you, here's a quick n dirty black-to-white fade with some random (completely made up) red grunge that kindasorta looks like the bumper in your pic...

I'm sorry. There's some confusion...I wanted to see what that sedan in the pic looked like with the bumper painted the same color as the rest of the sedan...nothing to do with my car...great rendering, though.

AussieV35: no need to photoshop a Lambo Yellow G, someone already has one on this forum - search it out, looks great!
