Guardian Paint Protection
Guardian Paint Protection
The Dealer caught me at a weak moment and sold me Guardian Paint Protection. It claims to protect against several things. A few weeks later a bird does a number on the hood. I wash it off and notice the paint is stained. They advertise an 800 number that is open 24/7. When calling, a message states they are only open during the week. I call again on Monday, after 20 minutes on hold they take the info and tell me to fax my warranty. Five days later after no response I call again. This time 30 minutes onhold. They said you faxed us your warranty, not the Dealer purchase contract. I stated I sent what I was told. Still no response yet. Stay away from this product. It is obvious they make it difficult to make a claim so you will give up and go away. I should have stayed with Zaino
Rule number 1 with dealerships....WRITE THIS DOWN!!!!
NEVER BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY OR PAINT PROTECTION! IT IS A RIP-OFF!
Repeat this over and over.
By the way, you can buy an extended warranty through a bank or several other sources. You do not need to get it through the dealership.....although they will make you think otherwise.
Getting an extended warranty through another company will save you BIG dollars.
The paint protection is a crock.

Yes , your dealer should help you with a claim. After all, their rep is at stake here too. Stay after them until you get results, uless they'd like to refund you money for the substandard product they sold you.
