So my clutch isn't disengauging properly = clutch worn out??!
I've just started to have a problem with grinding in 6th gear, so I bring my car in and they say that its a clutch problem, no warranty coverage... I have about 35k miles... so right at the end of my warranty.
The service advisior goes on to tell me, the clutch isn't disengauging properly, so its not a transmission problem. The clutch is wear and tear issue so it won't be covered by warranty... Talks about warranty right off the batt.. wtf? So he goes on to try to tell me that the clutch is worn and that's why its not disengauging properly...
....i'm not an expert on cars, but doesn't this defeat logic, if the clutch is worn, its not connecting with the transmission. So how would that be a problem about it disengauging? I'm confused, am I wrong or are they trying to get out without fixing my car cuz my warranty is almost over...
...stupid transmission, I had it replaced at around 15k miles already...
...anyone wanna explain to me what is going on here?.. Orlando, FL Infiniti are fulla *******s.... $100 bucks to install a microfilter, $1200 to replace a front bumper $75 for a synthetic oil change when I bring my own oil and filter.. wtf? I'm so sick of these bastards....

$75 for an oil change with the oil and filter!? I pay $29.99 for an oil change without bringing any filters or oil. I had to replace a front bumper (hit a pothole and it tore the bumper) and it cost $800 for a new bumper, fully installed. Seems like you are getting ripped off. Try another dealer. Good luck!

...so i call them back today after the service advisor wouldn't let me talk to the service manager yesterday, and he's still saying it's going to be a clutch job, not covered by warranty, and you can't have a loaner car because they're booked till the 28th.... and you can't talk to the service manager right now because he's in a meeting... then 2 mins later I ask if later the service manager could call me back and just clear up things for me, he replies, he's out to lunch... wth?
Is there any possible way I could work this out, I seems like they have the upper edge right now since how am I going to prove that its not the clutch that's the problem? I mean I could have them take it apart but they could always just get some other worn clutch and show that to me when I ask to see it... and then I would have to pay them labor for dropping the tranny.......anyone have any advice on what I should do?
This is the only dealership within 80+ miles of me and I have about 35,5XX miles on my car so I'm sort of reluctant to drive all that way and have them give me bad news too... (even tho I would 110% rather work with the other dealership since all the guys from FGC say they're so great, right now just waiting for John to get back to me tho...)
*sighs* what would you guys do in my situation? Thanks for the feedback too guys... damn Orlando Infiniti....

try sending john a pm as well.
sometimes he gets busy during the day, but is good about returning them though. if you dont hear from him by the end of the day call him again in the morning. service opens at 730am.
