Good car to race

I've been thinking what would be an equavalent car to our G, in terms of performance (without any mods), and I think Z4 3.0 might be a close race. It's listed as 5.6 0-60, and it'll probably come down to the driver. I can't seem to find any other cars that are as fast, and not too much faster than ours. Boxter S is a bit fast.
Any other opinions?

A 350Z or G35 Sedan comes to mind.

Re: Good car to race
Cool good win bro. How much hp does a boxter have BTW? Some boxter tried to race me during my break in period so I couldn't race that foo. But hearing that you dusted one makes me feel a lot better...lol. Right on COUPEDIT03.

Re: Good car to race
I was refering to cars outside of nissan family, and the stat on boxter S is that it's 5.4 0-60 - you must have raced a terrible driver.

Sorry COUPE either it wasn't a an "S" or the guy didn't know **** about driving his car. The Boxter S is just a little bit faster than the G. There are several around here and I have raced a few. They can always pull just about half a car length on me. The base boxter is another story. I've had many for breakfast, heh heh.

Re: Good car to race
Maybe that car was a Boxter but the owner add the S so it looks like his car is faster.

Re: Good car to race
I have driven a straight up Boxter (it was one of the cars I was checking out before I got my G) and I must say that the Boxter has NO BALLZ. The S on the other hand is supposed to have some juice. Staight up Boxter or crappy driver. Either way, you won!

Re: Good car to race
This year's abse Boxster is as powerful as last year's S. So we could probably handle an S from previous years or a base model from this year, but I doubt we'd be able to take on this year's S.

Re: Good car to race
Well, I pulled next to a Z3 yesterday, and the guy apparently wanted to give it a go... I could hear him revving it up, but it was a joke. It must have been a 2.5, because I was in 4th gear doin' about 40 MPH, all I did was goose the gas a bit and left him in the dust. The rather adorable chickie in his passenger seat seemed to find it rather amusing.

That said, the Z4 3.0 better be an awful lot faster than the Z3, otherwise it ain't gonna be much of a contest.
