For those of you who share a garage with someone who uses the original remote, do the original remotes still work after programming the opener to work with the Homelink? I'm worried that if I hit the "learn" button on the actual opener unit, that other people who share my garage won't be able to use their remotes.

I sure am glad this thread popped up. It looks like both of my new openers are the type that will have issues with the Homelink system.

I didn't order the Premium Pkg. anyway, but the Homelink was one of the main things that I was going to miss from it. lol Guess I can skip upgrading the mirror to a Homelink unit as well.

Yes, All my factory garage door opener's still work fine. I can chose to use those as well as Homelink.

I have 2 Sears garage door openers that I use with my G35 sedan w/homelink. The 1st time I programmed it I erased all the other openers by mistake (It supports up to 6). Over 6 it it drops one off when you add another. After I redid it all 5 plus my homelink works fine, (Mine is rolling code, so after programming the homelink, I have to get the opener to accept the new remote (homelink)). Also I have the press the homelink button for about 3 seconds for mthe door to open (a lot longer than my regular remote...)
