Car Washing

How often do you guys wash ur cars?

What products do you guys use?

I plan on going to one of those hipressure spray places for the soap and brush scrub and then using all Meguier products for the waxing, tire shine, and interior.

You will get lots of info on the Detailing forum on this site. I recommend you follow the advice given on properautocare.com and autopia.com. Use microfiber products to wash, dry and apply protectant to your car. And learn about and consider something other than plain wax.

Pick up some 100% cotton towels at Bed, Bath & Beyond, or a real sheepskin mit (pick out the SOFTEST one you can find), get 2 buckets and some Zaino Z7 carwash and some waffle weave drying towels. Ask your girlfriend to wash your car with the above listed supplies. Grab a beer, sit back and enjoy. It's that easy

I hate washing cars...well, actually it's the tedious drying I hate the most
especially the 3pcs wheels. I only wash the G when it's real dirty cause
I only take it out on dry weekends. I typically just use a Cal duster and
QuikDetailer mist & wipe. I rarely wash my commuters and even
if I did, only rinse it at the end and just let it air dry. capillary action
does quite well, too lazy to wipe it down cause it's a pos anyway and
it'll get dirty again by the next day.

Anyway, on my hobby cars I only use the usual, Meguiar's GoldClass wash,
sponge, 2 buckets of water (one soap, one water used to rinse the sponge),
chamois, cotton towel, QuikDetailer, Meguiar's tire sauce (the non glossy one),
and lots of paper towels.

I wax (NXT Techwax) every now and then whenever needed.

i used to wash every weekend, now i'm going to go to every two weekend. but i use a cali duster on the car every morning while it's warming up.

i just start the car, pop the trunk, dust the car off, and it's perfect timing for my RPMs to just drop below 1K, and thats when i drive off.

Same routine every morning. It's a good way to spend that time, before i just spent it sitting in my car watching the tach.

I wash my ride, actually waterless wash (I have this type of silicone spray I got from a detailing shop) and clean my ride every three or four days. I wipe my rims down every other day. I want the bling to come out of my chrome rims

How well does the Mr. Clean Auto Dry actually work?? I have been considering it, but didn't know if it was too good to be true.
