Question URGENT - Is this a good deal?

I just got off the phone with the dealer. The car I am looking for is a 2005 G35x with Premium Package C + splash guards + trunk mat.

Basically this is the break down I got from him over the phone -

Car - 30,030 (Although the invoice price indicated on Edmunds is $30167)
Premium Package C - 3,016 (same as Edmunds invoice price)
Splash Guards - 101 (same as Edmunds invoice price)
Trunk Mat - 58 (same as Edmunds invoice price)
Destination charge - 610 (same as Edmunds invoice price)

Total - $33,815 (This is $137 below the invoice price indicated on Edmunds)

Basically it is coming out to $137 below invoice because the dealer quoted the car price to be $30,030.

I asked him to send me over the total price with all the tax, title, license and other fee. I am still skeptical until I see the final price as I am suspecting the dealer might add some ridiculous numbers to the fees portion.

What do you guys think... I need to make a decision by today or at the most tomorrow.

If you're getting it for invoice that's a good deal. Even VPP pricing is a couple hundred over invoice! As you said, though, get the final numbers faxed or something to be sure!

I noticed that you're in west IL suburbs - what dealer are you working with? I got mine last Monday at Motorwerks.

I am working with both Motor Werks and Infiniti Of Lisle. What did you get? and how much?

I am not sure if I can mention the sales person names on the message board. If you can Personal Message (PM) me the name of the sales person, I will be happy to tell you mine.

The quote I posted is from Infiniti Of Lisle.

Are they selling you the car at possibly the prices that were set before the June 1st price hike?

if you look at edmunds.com's previous prices, they raised invoice by about 300 bucks... I got a quote for mine at the earlier price, but they said my car was included in the price hike...

so maybe you got a good deal or lucked out...anyway...go get your car!!!

and have fun

Date of manufacture should be coded into the VIN - I haven't searched here yet for it but I'm sure someone has broken down number by number what each digit of the VIN represents.

Manufactured Date should be on the side of your driver side door sill.

Finally made a deal

I was at the dealer today.

The price we finally agreed on was - $33656. This is for a 05 G35x + Premium Package C + Trunk Mat + Splash Guards + All Season Mats (Rubber) + 1yr oil changes (equals to 4 oil changes, so 4 *30 = $120 worth)

What do u guys think?

P.S - The price indicated is before Tax, License and Doc

You might get more and better responds in sedan forum...but from what I can tell, you are getting about 3600~ish off from MSRP, so its good deal, it might be great deal but I dont know much about the pricing for sedans

You can find the manufacturing date on driver side door sill (month/year), also I would nail down the mileage for the free oil change, one year could mean every 3000 or 5000 or... better yet just get centain number of oil change
