i was at the track last night with my 04 G35 coupe 5AT and the best time i hit was 15.2 . my car is all stock except for the z-tube and pop charger. i really thought it would do much better then that. so im a little disappointment. but i did get compliments on my cars looks ( had the nicest car there ) . there were other Gs there and their best times were 15.4 15.9 for 5AT same as mine i had the best tiem from them but felt slow to me.

You can always get a motorcycle and get in the 9-10's.

wow...i cant believe that you said that.
like number-wise, you have to give it up unless you do heavy mod such as FI.
also, there are quite lot of ppl with nice numbers with those setups in this forum.
maybe you need to learn how to shift in right time?
dont get too disappointed, you've spent too little for that baby
i mean compare to the original car price

VDC was off i was in MM mobe and i shift at 6300 rpm. ive done many runs and ive noticed thats the best time to shift. when you shift at 6300 rpm by the time the car respons your right before the red line so im 100% thats the best shift i could of done. wasent that bad thow i smoked a acura RSX his had a bunch of mods on it but noting big. i did know a guy there with a 2006 S4 the NEW NEW BODY and he SMOKED me by 2 cars. he was hitting mid to high 14s. i didnt think that the quatro could slow down the car so much but it did the guy was complaining the hole time.

Wouldn't it be best to give it a few rpm's and floor it in drive instead an manual mode. No room for human error there.

Maybe give a try to add a plenum spacer

6300 RPM isn't gonna give you the MAX peak hp. you need to hit 6900 RPM to get the max HP out of it.

Pending on your ECU, Auto is normally a bad way to go when going for speed. I'm always in Tiptronic, and he's right, shifting right before the redline will give you that perfect torque corve shift.

Make sure you always warm your car up, Had a good breakin period when you got it

and btw: Pop charger isn't a stock G lol.

2.5? 2.5 minutes, 2.5 hours, or 2.5 days?
