Coolant question

Hey guys, I'm just wondering if anyone has used the green prestone coolant to top off their coolant tanks. I'd imagine it's the same as the nissan coolant but I'm not sure and the Infiniti dealer near me is closed right now. Any help would be appreciated.

If I were you, I wouldn't take a chance and add Distilled Water until you can take it to the dealer to have it checked. In fact, if it isn't that low, I would just wait.

Some of those off-the-shelf coolants eat away at aluminum blocks.
If it says it's for aluminum motors it might be okay, but as above
just go to the dealer and buy a bottle; do a 50/50 with distilled
water and you're set.

I'm sure it's the same. Just don't mix colours. (ie- the longlife red coolant).

Is red better than green?

Which has more acidic properties?

Do not add coolant to top off your cooling system. If it's low, it's likely that only the water has evaporated... coolant typically doesn't. So to maintain the same ratio... top off with distilled water only.

If there's a leak, then you can top off with a 50/50 mix and get your G to a garage for a thorough inspection. If they need to repair, they drain the cooling anyway and refill it accordingly.
