Help: Trunk only opens using key fob

As stated: Trunk only opens using key fob, the interior button for the trunk release does not work. Any hints, suggestions, solution?

there is a valet switch visable when you open the glove box. It disables the interior trunk release switch...check that.

WOW, thanks for the info. I never new about the switch. My Jetta had a safety feature for the trunk swith and I was dissappointed that the G did not have this safety feature. But, I guess it does.

my trunk doesnt open with the remote or the switch like 10% of the time, i have to turn the ignition on then off, then it works fine...

anyone else have this issue, mine is an 05 coupe 6mt

Could be an issue with the BCM. Have the dealer check it for you.
