Mobil 1 Or Mobil 1 Extra Strenth Long Lasting? Which One Is Better For My G35coupe?

HEY GUYS AS I AM A G35 OWNER, I WANT MY BABY TO HAVE THE BEST OIL POSSIBLE. SO I WAS LOOKING AT MOBILS WEBSITE FOR SOME STRANGE REASON AND THEY MAKE TWO DIFFERENT YPES OF MOBIL1?

http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/...rformance.aspx

http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/...s/Mobil_1.aspx

THESE ARE THE TWO OILSS WHICH IS BETTER FOR MY CAR, OR IS THERE A DIFFERNT COMPANY THAT MAKES BETTER SYNTHETIC OIL?

i know its ot, but when i saw the title, i had thought of tylenol

i would imagine anything that could cover 7500 miles would be plenty good enough for typical use. 15k seems like overkill to me...

Get the EP, it's good chit. I'm running the 15w 50 in everything I have currently. M108 or 110 filter as well. Send your oil samples off at 7500 intervals to start and go from there (Blackstone Labs). Good luck.

Haha, You can tell the guys get a headache from the caps...lol, then they need some "EXTRA STRENGTH"......
We think you're yelling when you use them.

I've heard of a few using Mobil 1 Extra stregth, and they say it's good for a long time. I'm personally doubtful about going further than 7-8k. Maybe I'm being ****, but I'd only go that far.

7-8k? Well you should send oil samples off instead of speculating. Get the hard facts.

Why 15w50? Won't that cause a lot more wear at startup or are you doing a lot of track days where you are constantly revving high? Infiniti recommends 5w30 or 10w40, - Mobil1 5w30 or 10W40 ought to give you plenty of protection, no?

No it won't cause more wear. And it's a good option against the two you listed. I could break all the different options down for you, etc, but just use what you are comfortable with.

If they pumped up the moly in the new extended products, I *think* I read somewhere that the VQ doesnt really care for that (with super long ODIs). I'd have to dig a little deeper on that tho.

I'm stickin with the regular M1 while its still available (regular price = 19.xx now in 5qt) and until i see some oil reports with the VQ running it.

You want Amsoil, Not Mobil 1

http://www.amsoil.com/

Full synthetic and costs about the same by the case. Go to their website and check it out. Much better for the car than Mobil 1.
