even if it was the machine they use to take the tire off your scratches are on the wrong side of the wheel..

Just to clear something up here. On a repair like this, on any flat that is repairable, you ALWAYS remove the wheel and patch from the inside. A tire plugged from the outside is unsafe. The latest patches include a plug that you install from the inside.
