Is your leather creased?

I just bought my car Friday, and I'm already noticing some creases in the leather on the passenger seat side bolsters. Is this normal, or should it remain completely smooth for the life of the car?

I'll have to pick some of that up. I'm a HUGE fan of their paint products. I'll post a picture of the wax job I did on my old WRX when I get home this weekend.

The bolsters on the outer side of either seat aren't made of real leather and that's why they tend to crease more..

How do you know this?

I'm not so sure about that..

Either way.. leather is supposed to crease. look at your shoes.

She's right, the side bolsters are vinyl. Also, do a search, and there are pics of what the normal crease line looks like, and what cracked leather looks like. Cracked is a defect and should get replaced, creases are just character. Just use a good leather product like Zaino or Meguiars once every 3 months or so and you'll be ok from cracking...

Why are the bolsters vinyl?

If anything, i would think that vinyl would not crease??

I'm confused. So shoudl i stop putting lexol on my bolsters?

We've talked about this in many other threads. If you look carefully too you'll notice the material is different.

The lexol won't hurt them. Just beware of premature wear like Gee said, it's a warranty issue. I personally avoid sitting on that outer bolster when getting in and out of the car.

It can't be TOO many threads since i just did a search of vinyl and bolsters and there's only 5 threads on it. One of which is this one.

And in none of them has anybody been able to confirm that they are indeed vinyl, just some people claiming they are vinyl.

Not trying to be confrontational about it, would just like some confirmation that they indeed are vinyl besides just people saying so. How do you know they are vinyl?
