A buddy of mine is looking into getting a G. I steered him to this forum and FA. however, frankly I'm shocked how little useful info is here. Not to diss (an I'm sure I'll get flamed) - but it seems that

1) theres not a lot of posting going on...

2) the posting usually consists of

a) got my G!!!
b) beat (inferior) car X!!!
c) beat (superior) car Y!!!
d) The G is better than Z!!

So are there any other G forums, you know where guys discuss cars, mods and unique cool things to do to/with your ride?

 

There's a place called G35Driver.com...lol

Do a search and you shall find whatever you need to know about the car... The reason people don't discuss much about it is because it's all been talked about.. from specs to the future of the G...lol

You do know we are suppose to have fun on this forum to so we just gather around the PC and b/s and talk about our rides 24/7...lol...

You might also wanna check out the FYI and Tech area... They got some good stuff...

Don't discredit the site just yet man. You may have to search through all the posts for what you need or maybe another section of the site. There is plenty of good info here. There is a lot of the type of postings you mention but there's a lot of useful posts too, you just have to look. Try doing some searches -the search link is waay up at the top, took me a while to find it myself.

The other thing is, there aren't many potent performance mods yet available for the G - many of us are kind of in wait-and-see mode. So in the meantime, it's a good way to pass the time by posting kill stories.

That site is truly comedy. Those guys there simply post about how much better their cars are than X,Y, Z over and over again. When someone actually defends X,Y,Z in the interest of actually being a car fan (which mutual respect for great cars even if BMW) they invariably flame away with "at the end of the day its still RiCE" etc. etc.
