^I used to think the same thing. The OEM wing was perfect...

...but then something happened. I decided to go with the Data System rear spoiler, which is sitting here waiting for delivery of the G35.

But over time the wingless look has really grabbed my attention. While I used to feel that the OEM wing completed the look, now I agree with others that it detracts from the clean lines of the rear. It's all a matter of personal preference.

I'm still going to have to wait until I take delivery so I can prop the spoiler on the rear and then decide which route to go. I may end up selling it, I may install it. The only thing keeping me from deciding to go wingless right now is the fact that my coupe will be IP... ...which may need the added agression of a rear spoiler.

 

Go without it. If anything, add the front spoiler.

I have an 04 in Desert Platinum. I added the factory spoiler about a month after I got the car. Personally, I prefer the look with the spoiler. Especially with the Brembos and bigger wheels, the spoiler adds to its sporty/aggresive look.

 

Maybe it depends on how you first seen the car. The very first G I seen a couple years ago had the wing and even though the car has nice tail lights and such I really do not like it without the wing. Looks too much like a touring sedan from the back instead of a sports car. IMHO of course. However; it is not just cosmetic, check out the Infiniti site, the wing has function and drops Coefficent of Drag by 0.01. May not seem like much, but every little bit helps when you join the mod game.
