To wing or not to wing that is the question...

I would like some opinions on whether I should have the factory wing installed on my '05 coupe at/ Sport Suspension 19"/ Premium package. The dealer quoted me $650 to do the job. Do you think is it worth it? The car looks great with or without it. If it is a must, is there any dealers in the LA area that can do better that $650?

I appreciate your help.

Just added... The car is Brilliant Silver with Black Interior.

I have had my G almost a month and just had the OEM spoiler installed a few days ago. I think it completes the look for the coupe. I got it as part of the original sales agreement.

i bought my '03 G about 3 months ago and the dealer quoted me $750. i was like no way. just 2 weeks ago i went on www.spoilerdepot.com and purchased the OEM wing with light AND painted to match(used factoy paint) AND got it shipped for $190 to my door. and just yesterday got it installed at a body and paint shop for $145. It looks absolutely amazing so i got the wing shipped painted and installed for $335 which i think is great.

Hope this helps,

Jay

Don't like the OEM. Doesn't match the lines of the car. A tasteful aftermarket spoiler can nicely accent the car, though.

LOL

I agree, the stock wing looks like the WRX's and I don't like it. I would go with an aftermarket one. Lip spoiler looks really good.

I TOTALLY disagree with the OEM doesn't look good.

The stock wing is the Sh&t in my .02. But then again, I personally hate the "RICE BURNER" High Tail Wings.

The OEM wing is "sleak and accents the car extremely well"

Without a wing looks "Bald" on the back side and more "unfinished".

But, this is just my personal .02, but wanted to voice it.

Go with OEM!!!!!!!!!!!

P.s. OEM has the Third Brake Light, which I think looks Sweet!

with all the way.
if you see the one without...it looks in disorder...
you know the feeling that something is missing...
i'd take G35 OEM spoiler over any other spoiler around that price

I had the choice w/ or w/o

Black/wheat 05 prem and sport

I looked at several G's on the lot that had it both ways and went without it because it just broke up the lines of the car in my opinion. i didnt buy the g to look like a WRX and its non-functional.

A lip like the put on bmw's or the lexus conv. would be an interesting experiment

IMO, the OEM wing completes the look and seems to give the car a sleeker appearance. Without a wing accentuates the fat *** of the coupe...
