What about time intervals? I too had my oil changed at 1,500 but at that time I had had the car for over 3 months already, which is the recommended interval. It will probably take me over 6 months to rack up 3,750 miles, is it safe to drive a brand new car using dino oil for that long without an oil change?

 

hmmm, I would think it would depend alot on your climate and how you put the miles on you do have. You should go out to 3500 or 4-5 months and do a change with blackstone test. You spend $20, but wont be wasting money with changes you dont need, or you'll know 6 months is too long.
