Recommended tinters in 818/So. Cal?

Hi..been calling tons of places in the area that friends have told me about, or have just looked around on the internet for local tint shops...but a lot of places either don't seem too professional or want to charge me around $225.
Now, if that's the case (paying $225) then so be it..but from other posts about tinting G's, a lot of people have been saying that around 150 is what you should pay. I'm in Chatsworth, (818 area) and was wondering if anybody knew a good place to get my windows tinted?
Thanks!

I'm in Northridge, 818 as well. I got appraised at Solar Eclipse (Victory and DeSoto) and they said it would cost 130 (+tax) for 5 windows. My Corolla costed me around 200 but that had 7 windows tinted. This was at a place my brother recommended but I don't exactly recall the name of it. People around these forums have recommended Solar Eclipse and they have a lifetime warranty against cracks, peels, and bubbles. I think I will probably be tinting with them soon. Good Luck

Hey u should ask this in the SO cal Forum, but as far as tints go to Sunshield in Van Nuys, ask for hamid, he will do the car for like 130. And he does all the dealerships tints on Van Nuys BLVD.

If you're willing to make the trek out to the k-town area, Song's is pretty good. They're a trainer for Madico Tint (which I've read is good stuff) -- they wanted $200-$225 for Madico (less depending on the period of the warranty you want). BTW, they're one of the few places in SoCal where you can get Huper Optik, which is what I ended up going with.

Hope this helps!

Ramp, please post details of the tint from solar eclipse. What type of tint did they use, how dark, what did they charge, how long did it take and most importantly was there any imperfections/bubbles around the dots on the rear windsheild - and if not how did they deal with those dots? Thanx in advance.

Okay, ramp and I went the other day. The place looks really shady and they said it would take an hour which struck me as odd. Cost us 120 each. They didn't use llumar but they gave a lifetime warranty so i think it will be alright. As for the dot matrix, they have dealt with tons of Gs before and they have a way of doing it, i don't know exactly what they do but when we came back (after an hour) both our cars were done but they had isolated the dots for last. They have some technique that obviously works. The tint job was cheap, fast, and clean. The tint had water bubbles (i'm guessing) when we drove off the lot, but the guy (Sal) said that it would go away by the next day (today). They were all gone but i have a minor imperfection (hardly noticable but if i'm going to pay money i want it to be perfect ) so i will be going back there soon to get it fixed. If they give me a hard time about it i will surely repost here and tell you all what happened. Good Luck.
