Tire pressure

What's the easiest way to figure out the normal tire pressure for the Micheline sport tires? I've had the car a little over two months now, and wanted to get my tire pressure checked.

Re: Tire pressure

The sticker on the inside of the driver's door says 35 PSI all round. I just go with that and check them with a digital gauge first thing in the morning while they're cool. L8r dude,

Re: Tire pressure

35 is recommended by the manufacturer for the Pilots (pronounced Peeh-Lohs) but they can take up to 51psi max
I keep mine at 37 psi (when tires are cold) for better handling and less tire wear

Re: Tire pressure

I tried 37 dude, but found them a little 'slippery'. Tire wear would be better tho, but I'd rather have better cornering and ride.
I prolly explore the limits of the car more than you do bro, so l need that extra adhesion.

Re: Tire pressure

Rambo, how do you figure 37 gives you better handling? What it will do, along with being slippery as gsm has noted, is cause excessive wear in the centre of your peelohs- rather costly considering you can't rotate them. The pilots work better, imho at 34 psi cold. Also, the pilots take some warming up. Where the the first pilot flagship tires- the MXX3s were sticky from go, the pilot sports aren't happy til you get some heat into them.

Re: Tire pressure

cold tires: yeah i've noticed this, had crazy oversteer and lousy grip when the tires were cold (35psi cold)

I have yet to test the 37 psi because my car sits in the garage during week-days
