Which kit? I got the ultimate and used everything at least once (I only used the Z5 once), and I don't use the leather cleaner much (but do use the leather maintainer thingy). I think buying the kit saves you something like $25, so if you can eliminate two products you won't use you'll be saving money. The products you need (imo) are:

ZFX
Z2
Z6
Z7
Z18 claybar

Z1 is pretty nice too, but I don't know if you *need* it.

well im trying to decide whether to get zaino or just go with some meguires or something.. i really dont have time to put 6 coats on my car.. i think if i get some other reputable wax, i would have good results with less time consumed

yeah. like me, i dont have time for 3-6 coats, i could probably do 2. going w/ a good wax would give u same results, as long as you still follow proper car care procedures. using the right towels is a big factor. i recommend Meguires NXT after applying a cleaner wax for quick waxing if ur not going the zaino way.

I've also been happy with NXT. I'd probably go Zaino if I had a black car, but I've had great results with NXT on my DG coupe.

I'm about to order my Zaino, and have a similar question as to why there are so many different Z1, Z2, Z3 etc.

Somebody give it to me plain and simple as to what I need to order to get that great shine!

List em' out and I'll ****** them up online today! Just let me know what works for you.

Oh and if you have time, explain your "PROCESS" for getting that shine.

I've already washed the car throughly with BLUE DAWN and am now ready to "GET R' DONE"! HA

Thanks guys,

I always reco their starter kit for about $84. Has everything you need to get started. I would add an extra bottle or 2 of Z6 because you will use it like crazy!!! And extra soap couldn't hurt! I tend to use more then required though!

Ok here is what I do, but it was different for me when i put my very first coat of zaino on:

1. Wash it with the Z7 zaino wash
2. Z18 claybar (breaks away all that grime and dirt)
3. Wash it again with the Z7 zaino wash
4.** Some people like to apply a layer of Z6 here, but I dont think its necessary
5. Once its all clean you can apply a layer of Z5 or Z5 with the ZFX system (if you got the ZFX)
6. Buff the wax off and then put on a layer of z6
7. Z2 time--layers of z2 provide the ultimate shine
8. Buff off just like the Z5 and apply as many coats as necessary with a layer of Z6 in between the coats
9. After your last layer of polish, you can Z8 it for the best possible shine, or just use z6 again.

The more coats you apply, the better it will look (starts to get pointless after about 3-4 coats) and you have a nice, good looking paint protectant. Its best to zaino it every week for about a month or so--that way you get a nice healthy layer on your car that is always there. Good luck!

If its your second time zainoing (sp?) your car, then you can skip the claybar and the z5 (unless you want to use z5 instead of z2) and go straight to the latter part of the list. If you are using the ZFX instructions, just follow them and you should be fine. Its quite simply really:

1. z7 wash
2. z2 polish
3. z6 gloss enhancer
4. z2 polish (or how ever many coats you want to put on, if you do it weekly then one is fine)
5. Z6 or Z8 if you want the best shine.

I use more of the Z-5 and Z-6 than anything else. Great stuff.
