I pray I never have to find out.

Running low on gas is like sipping a spilled milkshake off the kitchen floor--might still work but you're gonna eat some grime.

There is no reserve tank, the G isn't a motorcycle....LOL. When the Low Fuel indicator comes on, we have about 3 gallons or so left. Again, as stated above, it's not good for any car to run a tank that low!

I've owned many bikes and they don't have reserves, per say, either

Since FI was introduced on the 98VFR800, they just have a light that comes on indicating X amount of fuel left, same way the car works. I do remember the petcock and reserve booshiat of bikes from yesteryear though

What he is referring to is probably that some BMW's have a reserve tank, incase you run too low.

But as far as I am aware, there is no reserve tank. So far I have run below the E a few times, and the closest I have ever come to empty is 18 gallons/20 gallons (still had 40 miles to go)

It probabaly varies from coupe to coupe, but I would estimate that you have around 5 gallons left when you hit E (or approx ~100 miles)

You know how when you fill the tank up, the needle goes way past the F mark? Thats how much it goes past the E mark as well, so keep that in mind. I try to let mine go all the way to the E before I fill it up, and the most I have ever put into it ever is 17.5 gallons, so that means I have well over 50+ miles I could have travelled, but of course I like to play it safe.

It is bad because

1) Uneven pull of fuel causing it to run worse

2) Sediment is more likely to be pulled on a low tank

3) Sediment=bad

Yes we have fuel filters and blah blah blah, but why run low and clog/ruin the filter when stopping to get gas at a 1/4 tank is just as easy?

I can't fill mine up past the F- I can get just short of the F- in fact just above the line before the "F". As soon as my fuel light comes on (just above the line before the "E"- almost touching it) I can normally place 16.5 gallons in it or so. I wonder if my fuel gage is off or if it is not filling all the way up.

The reserve tank is located right next to the Dilithium Crystals Panel.

Is the Dilithium Crystals Panel behind the Flux Capacitor? I can't seem to find it.

3 Gallons left when I reaches the E? Wow, that seems like a lot to have left, in my old car when the light came on I only had around 1.5 to 1 gallon left in the tank.

The fuel pickup is at the bottom of the tank anyways. With a full or empty tank you would pick up contaminents just the same.
