4th of July Speeding Ticket, Hurrah

Assuming your record is fairly clean. Plead no contest. The judge will base the fine on your driving history. If you have a good history you'll probably have to pay a small fine, no points, no school.
I got nailed in same situation but going 91 in 70. I plead no contest because I already did school within a year. Fine was about 3/4 of the ticket amount, but no points, and no school. I'm in FL so don't know the laws where your at. This is ALL UP TO THE JUDGE, so make sure your record is pretty clean. GL

Haven't had a ticket in a long, long time. (25 years?) The difference is I play, and then I pay. I don't try to wiggle out of $hit I know I'm guilty of, and I don't whine about the cops.
If this were a ticket for three over I'd feel for him. 26 over? Please. He's lucky he isn't in jail. Grow up.
What is "justitication?" I thought it was a word I hadn't heard before, but dictionary.com has no clue either.

good for you, you can pay for your tickets like it's small change.
but who asked for your stupid sarcasm?
i gave him advice, and threw in a little opinion in there.
i have my opinion and you have yours, but you don't need to give off that condescending BS like you're some hot shot.
you must be one of those conformists who think all the laws are absolute and 100% just.
well then pay your fine and shut the hell up.
no one asked for your stupid condescending BS.
maybe some cop saved your life so you feel like backing them up, but so far not one cop has done a good thing for me except to give me attitude and give me tickets.
until the day comes when i benefit from their service, my money is being wasted on their donuts and XXXL uniforms.

i am grown up, that's how i'm able to make $100k+ a year and afford my G.
of course i'm bitter about authority, it's my nature to rebel.
at least i was here minding my own business until some fool decided it was cool to try and be funny.
what, is your dad a cop?
am i hitting a nerve?
well if not then you shut the hell up too.

No one, it comes free of charge.
And I did the same. If it doesn't fall in with your "world owes me a living" attitude, then don't read it. The ignore option is at your fingertips.
Never claimed to be a hotshot you dolt. You worked that up in that little mind of yours. I merely stated that if you do the crime, you should pay the fine. Your whiny bull$hit in traffic court uses my tax dollars and keeps the court from dealing with things that matter, so I'll throw in my .02 where I see fit.
Not at all. I do realize, however, that when I exercise a little civil disobedience and get popped, it's MY fault. Not the cops, not the slow driver in front of me. MINE. Nobody made me press the gas pedal, I make that choice all by myself. I do it knowing the chance I'm taking (just law or not), and I certainly won't blame the cops if they catch me if what I'm doing is outside the law. They're guys with jobs, just like me. The way to stay away from the power-hungry abusive ones is to not invite them into my world by driving 26 over on a holiday weekend. Capish?
Oooh. So forceful.. I'm scairt. YAWN...
And no one asked you to whine like a schoolgirl. Again. Grow up.
With your charming personality I can't imagine why. I didn't realize cops were here to cater to your every need. LOL..

how sad, if you get your jerk-offs from having the last word.

Bitter? - obviously but likely less about a "nature to rebel" and more about not getting what you want.
Nobody was trying to funny. We are just giving our opinions just like you. Sorry you don't agree with ours. That's something else with being a grown up - sometimes people don't agree with you.
Dad a cop? - He11 no! I have no particular love for cops as a whole but guess what - I figured out that just because you encounter a few people who are @$$holes that doesn't mean they all are. Imagine that?
If I feel the urge to reply to anything I will. If you don't want to read it then don't. Last time I checked you weren't running the show around here so you just have to deal with someone telling you what they think. I trust that the moderators will let me know if they feel I step over the line but your opinion of me and what I say frankly doesn't concern me in the slightest.

You're free to state your opinion as well and I respect that. I'll refrain from making comments about the type of person you are and simply respond with my thoughts.
How do we know the gun was calibrated correctly? Well, quite obviously because the poster admitted he was speeding. There is no question of guilt here.
He should contest the citation because he has the legal right to? He most certainly has that right. Interestingly (and I'm sure this is not new information to you), the right to contest criminal charges was designed to protect those who aren't guilty. It's not there to help those who are quite obviously guilty waste taxpayer money to weasel out of legitimate charges.
When you get your driver's license you enter into a "contract" stating that you will follow the rules of the public roads when driving on said roads. When you break those rules and are caught doing so you are penalized. Trying to get out of a legitimate traffic fine is like trying to get out of a contract. Wasting the public's money in doing so simply makes the situation that much more detestible.
