Hey guys i have a g35 coupe 6mt and im wondering if you have expierenced the same type of problem. i hear this weird rattle when the car is idleing in neutral but when i put the car in gear the rattling stops. is this a problem it sounds like something with the shifter is rattling not sure. please enlighten me

 

could be the timing chain? it's alot louder than normal rubber timing belts.

 

probably throw out bearing chatter. See threads below in "similar threads" for more information. As bad as it may sound, it is considered normal.

Do you also get a chattering noise when you accelerate slowly from a stop?
