No inside trunk handle??
I have an '05 Coupe and this is what I do:
The latch that is in the center of the trunk (the piece that fits into the lock part and is covered by a piece of black plastic) - I just grab that with both hands and pull down on that. As the trunk is about to close I let go. This way I don't put my hands on any portion of the paint.

My trunk closes itself. I bring it down to around 10 inches from being closed. Then let go and it drops shut. I added the spoiler after I bought the car, so I wonder if the shocks are lighter on trunks without factory spoiler.

This frustrated me as well. As a result, I cut an old leather belt (3 inches) and punched an hole in it. I removed one of the plastic pin (close to the latch) and reinstalled it with the belt in it. To close the trunk, I just pull on the belt.
