No inside trunk handle??

I've had my 2005 G35 coupe for a little over a week now and am frustrated by one thing... there is no handle on the inside of the trunk to close it! This forces me to pull on the Infiniti logo, which even after doing that leaves fingerprints. This might seem like I am whinning but my VW Passat had one and I am really mad this car doesn't... I don't like leaving prints all over the butt of my car from closing the trunk... so who has some ideas as to how I can fashion my own device?

The G35 sedan has one... but the coupe does not.

This frustrated me as well. As a result, I cut an old leather belt (3 inches) and punched an hole in it. I removed one of the plastic pin (close to the latch) and reinstalled it with the belt in it. To close the trunk, I just pull on the belt.

I just grab the trunk lid on the edges with both hands and pull it down...then
just use my fist and gently push it down to close it. Unless you have greasy
hands, you won't leave a visible mark.

i rarely use the trunk though...only when a bird drops a bomb on my car while
im motoring...got cleaning supplies in the trunk.

btw, when you're guys are back there, check your spare's tire pressure.
Mine was down to 45psi. (pump it up to 60psi).

can we take out one of the two hydraulic rod thingies that hold it up? i remember seeing one guy with a cf trunk lid and he had to reduce it to one since it was so much lighter.

Simple but effective... I'll have to try that out. Thanks for the idea.

You know your car is freaking awesome when this is the only thing to complain about.

I just push on the spoiler. My fam owns a carwash so I wash my car every other day anyway.

True, but when this car is about 33% more expensive than my last car and is considered to be "luxury," it can be disappointing to lose simple features like this. I mean, come on, they included it in the sedan version, why not the coupe! I know it is a smaller trunk but I use it everyday.
