Coast Car Covers in SD. Custom. Fits the G like a condom. Great UV protection, can be used in the rain, doesn't scratch the paint, machine washable. Best thing next to a garage IMO.

Few clarifications first:

I never stated that the cover is some sort of a super duper quality. Just like with everything else in life - you get what you pay for. AutoZone cannot possible and will not carry any real quality products, period.
I do however think that spending $200 on a cover that will fit this car only, not to mention that I will be probably selling this car within less than 18 months, is just not a justifiable cause for me to throw $200 out the window. As far as this cover blowing out in the wind - not a chance, this thing sits like a G-string on a girls a$$ and is held by an all around rubber band.

Other than that, here are my personal reasons for not buying something more expansive:

1. I live in CT, there isn't much sun here to begin with. However, what we do have a lot of, is shade - from trees. With the shade, what we also get included in the package is a lot of bird $hit.

2. Another reason I'm not concerned with UV is that the car is covered only at night time. When at work, I have a covered garage.

3. The reason I bought the cover to begin with was because my car got vandalized (see my post titled ***need to release some steam***), so I figured a car cover will take the flash off the street. Quality won't really matter as long as the car is covered.

4. My parking situation is very temporary. I used to live in an apartment building with a covered garaged, so I never needed it before. Now I'm shopping for a house (which will include garage), but until then I live with relatives and so I needed something while I live with them (hopefully this situation won't last for more than a month or two).

Other than that... to each his own...

Maybe one day when I'll be driving around in a Ferrari, I'll spend $500 on a cover

i got the oem cover, and i got it from grubbs infiniti when i got my car.

its really nice. i think its good quality too but i havent felt any other covers so i dont really know. it keeps water out although it seems to breathe if that makes sense. its made of some special material that i cant remember right now.

anyway it also comes with a lock if thats useful to you. one more thing, the cover is designed exactly for the G. right down to whether or not you have the aero/spoiler. i think thats a good thing, because it fits really well, tight but not too tight.

im not sure if i would recommend it. my car is black on black. most of the time i think the cover is ok, but do not think of using it if your car is dirty. if it isnt perfectly clean, when the wind blows itll group up the dust under the car. i dont think it does harm, but just a warning.

Mine is an OEM and it is soft inside and fits like a condom, it doesn't fap, er ah, flap in the wind at all. And it has a lock cable.

my main concern is scratches!

my car is black on black, and i just recently gave the car 2 layers of sum stuff (im not done yet) and well, i soon will be having my swirls removed and what not and want a car cover where that is gonna be scratch resistent!

i just use my G fridays-Sundays, weekends only! right now it's under a shade sort-of-thing... the only thing my car is seeing right now is normal dust, no sun or bird ****! the only time the car sees sun is monday-thursday, but only the front sees sun. as far as a car cover protecting me from rain, it hardly rains in southern Cali! and as far as sun goes, well, it wont really matter, once again, only the front WILL/IS seeing the sun...

i can live without a car cover for a while, but seeing as how im going to invest my quality time in waxing and detailing, i dont want a weeks worth of dust to go on the car quickly!!
