Question where to get an OEM Vehicle Cover?

owners of vehicle covers please shed your info on where you got your cover and if it was OEM or not...

what price & place you got it will be very helpful! i will be detailing my G in a week or 2 (once i buy the vehicle cover) & i need a cover so all that detailing will not be for nothing!

well, thanks in advance!

I just got a generic one from AutoZone for $29.00 fits like a glove almost makes you think it's an OEM one.

Yes, it does come with a loop for a lock (at least that's what I think the loop is for) - lock is not included though. If it's not for a lock then I don't know what it's for. It also comes with a lace that I'm suppose to run through somewhere, but I'm not exactly sure where through (didn't have the time to look into it).
Also, it comes with this cover (for the cover) attached to it. What I do is I throw the cover in the trunk and shut it close - the cover is now locked in the trunk but it's still attached to the big cover, so they can't just pull the cover off the car - they'll have to rip it, in which case it will become useless to them.

Pics to follow later on today (I'll post them here).

that's a great idea about the bag!! thanks Speed!!

and looking forward to those pictures!! i'm pretty sure one of my friends has one of those covers from auto zone, i'll pass by his house tonight and will definately be passing by infiniti this weekend and compare both of em... then and there, i will make up my mind and spend either the 200+ for the OEM or the auto zone one... which in reality, both should do the same damn thing! so im leaning towards the autozone one now! lol

hey speed

Does it have a soft inside?

I'm worried about those cheap car covers if it scratches my car

Brand name would also be nice so we know what avoid at autozone

No offence speed .. But 29.00 at AutoZone is junk junk junk! Save yourself the time and just start sandblasting your paint now. Folks, you get what you pay for & there is plenty to know about car covers. Do a search off google about car covers and visit a few sites. The fit is awful and will be flapping in the wind and scratching the paint for $29.00 Speed. I'm sure it has next to nothing on UV protection, Im sure it does not breath well if at all... & I could go on about other faults that cover has. Pay $250.00 to $500.00 if you want a cover worth covering your $40,000 car ... Trust me.

Read http://www.coverking.com/customcarcovers_materials.html
Weathershield is a good company.

Also below a few tips and more basic info about covers. http://www.covercraft.com/cover_faq.htm

The OEM cover (the one from Infiniti) is made buy WeatherShield & is worth every bit of $250.00

The best cover for your G35

Having seen the cover on this thread it looks like s..t and
will end up in the next county at the first breeze.
California Car Cover make a Noha cover for the G35
that fits and has pockets for the mirrors. They will not
damage your finish and will last for years. Try californiacarcover.com
or 800-423-5525. I don't work for this company but have
used there products since 1984. They also sell Zymol waxes
but that's another subject.
