The "series of tire" (or sidewall width)is essentially the % of the width of the tire.. For example a tire with the specs of 300/50/18 means that the sidewall is 50% of the width (300mm) of the tire. Thh sidewall would be 150mm thick. Thus the diameter of the tire increases with a wider tire using the same "series" thus altering the speedomenter rating.

Are you planning on lowering your car? It looks good as is, just curious.
Haven't decided yet about a drop. It will definately look sick, but I have to maintain some semblance of practicality. I know everybody is thinking "yeah, 20 inch cast wheels are so practical". NOT! but they look so good. I'm driving myself crazy, no pun intended, worrying about pot holes now. Ground clearance is just another thing to worry about. I am definately considering it though.

A question to those who have dropped their G's. How much should I drop? I'm thinking about only an inch 'cause I still have to drive the car everyday. Also would there be any major probs with the Tein Stechs?? Thanks again for all your comments.

PhxBlue had his 05 6MT dropped on S techs and he has 19" Volks, he hit something which damaged his undercarriage badly. So he reinstalled the stock springs. You might want to go with a mild drop like the H techs for the Z.

Thanx Fizz, and I don't mind at all. I got them from LTB motorsports. Mounted, balanced, and delivered for $4300. I ordered them on Tuesday, June 28 and had them on Thursday, July 7. Also the 19's are back ordered for 90 days. 20's are readily available. Talk to Lewis at LTB. 1-888-346-7266, he will hook you up. Check out the momo FXL forged on there website. I really considered these because they are new and you prolly ain't gonna see many of them at 1300 large each! But they would look tight on a G.

I would go with a 255/35/20 (if you could find one) then when his speedo is at 60 mph he's actually traveling 60.1 mph.
Rear: When his speedo is at 60 mph he's actually traveling 59.6 mph (off by 0.7% too fast)
This is the tire size I would have chosen too.
Sig is corrected, my bad. I wanted to go with 285/30's on the rear but Toyo don't make one and I wanted the T1R's. Also I have no rubbing issues lock to lock on the front and no rubbing on the rear either. 3% variance wasn't a biggie to me.

A G35 has to be running 12's in the 1/4 for it to impress me, anything short of that doesn't make a darn difference.. one day if I want a fast car I'll buy a Vette or an M3, in the meantime might as well make the G look good

You have a pm. thanx
