Well after finally graduating from college, and getting everything situated im picking up a 2003 G35 Coupe Silver 6MT premium package and spoiler with 20k miles tomorrow. I test drove it and it was in perfect condition cept the tires only bout 1/2 to 1/3 tread left maybe. Im paying $25,500 for it which is pretty good deal I think.

First, are there any things that I should be weary of with the '03s are the brembos good etc?

Secondly, the guy wants to take the tag off it (im purchasing from individual buyer) when I pick it up...how long do I have to get a new tag...im moving to a different state next week and dont want to waste money on a tag in this state. What happens if i get pulled over??

Nothing will happen when you get pulled over, you just say it was just purchased for me. just make sure you have insurance and a license .

Brembos should be fine. Pads might need to be changed because normal drivers tend to wear them out over the past 2 years.

See if you can register in NY, they have the cheapest registration the lady at the DMV told me. I paid 500 for 1 year in my state, AZ.

BTW Im 16 so if any of this is wrong, you cant blame me

 

is there no grace period for getting the tag?

I really dont want to waste 400 dollars on a tag to move next week to FL where tags are like 60 bucks..
