xpel is popular among is300 enthusiasts. 3m and llumar are popular on these boards. just compare the materials and so a search. $575 for a full kit is a really good deal. make sure if it's a 'full kit' it includeds bumper, fenders, headlights, hood, and mirrors

I got my dealer to throw it in with the car when I bought it, but I only got the hood covered, wonder how much more it would be to have the whole thing done.

Don't forget to have them do the area behind the door handles and the outer edge of the doors themselves.

xpel makes the clearbra templates/patterns. Installers can use different films from 3M, Llumar, or VentureTape as the bra material.

Xpel patterns are good, but they require an expert to install them. Make sure your installer is good!

As for the door handles and edges, I did not get them. I am careful when opening the door so I do not need to protect the edge. The door handles may help but I am also careful when opening the door.

Llumar is better than XPEL / 3M materials. It's more transparent so it doesn't show and it won't turn yellow like 3M material does.

My installer told me that 3M reformualted their film so it won't turn yellow. However, I got the Llumar because he had different patches on the hood of his van and the Llumar had considerably less 'orange peel' when compared to the others. I believe my installer used xpel cutouts.

*Orange peel is the distortion/waviness in the reflections seen in the paint/film.
