PICKED up MY G!!!!! Only one disappointment:(

So I picked it up today and its way to fun to drive...I dont think I am supposed to have such a nice vehicle.

Anyway, besides the car being awesome and getting used to the six speed, Ive noticed that from 22 - 25mph when slowly accelerating or slowly braking the front tires make a low growl noise....I dont think it is the brakes cause im not pressing them, I assumed it was road noise from the tires but not sure...the noise goes away below or above 25mph.

Any ensight would be great(its an 03 6MT btw), other than that, the car is a dream!!!

Definately sounds like the tires. My boss has a 2004 with the same problem and when he changed the tires the noise went away. I started getting the noise before I bought my after market rims. I had 18K miles on the factory tires.

My brother just went thru the same thing with his coupe. Turned out to be poor wheel alignment causing scalloping of the fronts.
New rubber and a good alignment was the solution.

Sorry.

Its the factory rubber, 24k miles on them, ill chk the pressure and alignment and see if that helps, they have some tread left......I figured it might be the tires, thanks for all the info

Oh, one more thing, how long do the brembos usually go before needing pads?

Oh and dang, VDC is a killjoy

Ran it to 6k, shifted to second and SLIP lights up and nothing......ill remember VDC next time...boy this things fast

fairly easy! go for the crawford! just take ur time and don't overtighten the bolts! CONGRATS!!

FYI - I would be pissed if the dealer (if you did get it from a dealer) sold ya the car with factory tires with 24K, I am sure they are damn near close to bald if not already! And brakes probably should have been chnaged for ya too if it was a dealer!

at least your tires didn't wear out prematurely at 12.5k miles like mine did... check the inside of your tires.. https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-coupe-v35-2003-07/60230-check-out-my-feathered-tires-stupid-nissan.html

purchased from private party

the tires still got like 1/4 to 1/2 in. deep tread

ima see about alignment first before buying new tires.

Hopefully within the next few months I can get the crawford plenum then, im limited on tools though Till then Ill get a K&N drop in.

Check for 'lumpage" on the inner walls, occurs when driven quick over deep potholes, train tracks, etc...
