I thought it was introduced in 2000....

"asked one of the guys" (original message)

Dealers like to keep your hopes up, that's what keeps you positive and more likely, sales.

It's like asking someone at the bottom of the todem pole for info only the upper level management knows. I wouldn't bank on it. But who's to say it's not possible?

That is what most car models do. They go through a complete redesign after 5-6 years.

Especially Nissan. Nissan is known for running models for 5 years, then redesigning them. Maxima is a perfect example:

3rd Gen. Maxima - 1990-1994
4th Gen. Maxima - 1995-1999
5th Gen Maxima - 2000-2004

there is suppose to be an 08 skyline version, ive actually read about it in an import magazine, its suppose to be twin turbo awd, and also starting at 70gs, ive never heard anything bout a convertible thou ps if they came out w/ this skyline versino our cars would increase in value because they would be in higher demand, no one in there 20's is gona drop 70+ on a coupe.... making ours in more demand, supply demand theory in full effect

How do you figure that? The latest gen was released as a 2003 model in 2002.

If a dealer said it, don't believe him.

For the 06 model, I think they will add bluetooth, but maybe only to the NAV-equipped cars. They may change the headlamps to projector HID's too.

The Z has a convertible, so it's not unbelieveable that the G could get one, but it's all speculation at this point.

I don't think this will happen with this generation's coupe as the new GT-R will have the redesign styling. So demands will be for the "basic" redesigned coupe, not the current one.

My dealer told me that the 07 sedan will be the convertible, not the coupe....

I think most dealers know less than most people on this board. I had a dealer here in socal tell me over a year ago that the 05's were going to have a convertible in the lineup. I was going to register then and post it here on this board but thought this guy is probably full of ****. He was so sure of this from whatever meeting he had went to. Anyway I been reading this great forum since Oct. of 03, that's when I got my 04 coupe. Great job guys.
