My friend works for Nissan HQ in Japan in a product development and confirmed that G will be all new for the model year 2007. He said both coupe and sedan but have not mentioned anything about convertible. I've seen the CG of the 2007 but kinda looks like CLS, especially the headlight. Since the Lexus IS developer confirmed that evey body style that 3 series have, the new IS will have, there might be chance that G might have convertible to compete in the market. By the way, there is no Infiniti HQ in Japan. Only a department.
As far as the GT-R goes, my friend said only very limited people in the development knows about it and it's a TOP SECRET. Obviously, he doesn't know. By the way, his direct boss was in charge of R34 GT-R development. He's very reliable source.
I've read from various Japanese sources that G35 model change will occur in 2007. No word yet whether it will be a 08 model introduced in 07, or a 07 model introduced in 06. The GT-R will likely be introduced as a Nissan to built up the brand's high performance image. Either way the GT-R will be shown in Tokyo Auto Show this winter~
