Hey guys and gals,
I just got done breaking in my 05 6mt coupe, now its's time to this beast who its daddy is! Any reccomendations on where i should be shifting now? At what RPM's do you shift, where will i feel the most power in the range, whats safe for the engine?

Thanks, Brian

At your assumed mileage after the breakin period . . .

To be Safe = 4-5k rpm

To be Daddy = 7.2k rpm

. . . steady there now.

Same here for the most part. I put a few miles on it before giving it too much gas, but now (@ 600 miles) I don't worry about it. I actually hit the rev limiter the other day in manual mode (by accident) but, thats why its there right? So I don't blow up my engine.

I have been driving the hell out of mine ever since I got around the 750 mile mark. Service manager told me there is a learning computer and that it will always drive the way you drove it when you first got it, so I started horse beating the hell out of it. Feels faster!! LOL

I like it a lot, it was my first choice, got a black one just like the G. It's a great bike, only 2 things I don't like about it, it's got a horrible seat especially if you are coming from an R6 and has no trunk space cause of the exhaust. Other than that it's a great bike.

I have sprockets on backorder right now and it's killing me. Haven't been on the bike in almost 2 weeks and the Mountain is calling me.
