IMO, the G is the closest car to perfection at its price tag level. Now that it finally has projectors, it makes it just one step closer to perfection!

Its like looking at those hot Japanese models! They are gorgeous AND cute at the same time! Some of them look SO perfect.... untill they smile and teeth are pointing in all different directions! Yes... projector HIDs = straight teeth

If those things can fit and they come with clear turn signals (not amber ones), I would consider paying the 2000$ cost. Thing is, I also want to buy a SVI Infinity gun (www.sviguns.com). Tough choice and too bad the clearance strip does not light up. So now what will light up when you put the night lights on (setting before headlights on)?

I've heard that there are city lights in the fog/high beam housings. This may not be in the USDM version though. All USDM headlights I've seen have done away with the citylights while their JDM versions had them. What will also happen is that they will think a dual fillament bulb for the blinker will be good enough as parking lights.

I would guess just the sidemarkers and the amber circle. Also, I highly doubt it will come cleared out in the US. European model BMWs come with clear headlights and no bumper reflectors, US models don't, and for a reason.. But a dual filament amber bulb, hmmm that's possible, that's how my Maxima came. I'm confused

Guess we will just have to wait and see how good this will look, and how much they will charge us. I still think its BS that the front bumper changed and stuff (Judgjing from those pictures).

BTW, I misspelled the address of the guns

www.sviguns.com thats the one!

I just came across this in the sedan forum, so some of that information may pertain to the sedan. The member said he/she read it on another forum. Anybody have any more info?

So far the following changes have been confirmed for the 2006 G35:

1) Optional Rear Active Steer Package ( same found on M45 Sport )
2) Sport Package now includes a new front fascia and side sills
3) Revised LED tail lights.
4) New bi-xenon headlights
5) Bluetooth wireless on all models
6) Memory seats

Revised LED tail lights? What??? New front bumper and side skirts? Are they talking about the new '06, or the '05 models??

Blinkers only have to blink amber, and in some states ie Indiana, they can blink white.

The shield bulb and housing can be clear or white, as long as the light is amber.

Front position reflectors must light(as of 2004, DOT)amber and reflect amber light.

*Virgina might claim that blinkers still have to be amber*, but if you look up there code it states the front reflector must reflect amber light.
---------------------------------------------------------------
24953. (a) Any turn signal system used to give a signal of intention to turn right or left shall project a flashing white or amber light visible to the front and a flashing red or amber light visible to the rear.

(b) Side-mounted turn signal lamps projecting a flashing amber light to either side may be used to supplement the front and rear turn signals. Side-mounted turn signal lamps mounted to the rear of the center of the vehicle may project a flashing red light no part of which shall be visible from the front.

(c) In addition to any required turn signal lamps, any vehicle may be equipped with supplemental rear turn signal lamps mounted to the rear of the rearmost portion of the driver's seat in its rearmost position.

(d) In addition to any required or authorized turn signal lamps, any vehicle may be equipped with supplemental rear turn signal lamps that are mounted on, or are an integral portion of, the outside rearview mirrors, so long as the lamps flash simultaneously with the rear turn signal lamps, the light emitted from the lamps is projected only to the rear of the vehicle and is not visible to the driver under normal operating conditions, except for a visual indicator designed to allow monitoring of lamp operation, and the lamps do not project a glaring light.
----------------------------------------------------------------

Because the g35 blinkers are seperate from the amber corner reflectors, the blinker lense can be white.

There is no state law that dictates the color of the lense only the color of the "flash of light," which is yellow or white (from state to state)

'06. I just don't know if the exterior changes pertain to the sedan or coupe. The sedan got facelifted in '05, so I'm guessing it's the coupe's turn.

Ok, now I see where we got mixed up. What I was trying to say was that turn signal lights must shine amber (or white depending on state) so USDM versions usually screw us over by having an amber lens where the JDM versions are usually clear. Thats why I was saying that the USDM version might have an amber lens to try and force us to all have amber lighting. I didnt mean to sound as if I was saying there was a law for the color of the the turn signal lens/sheild.

I dont think the coupe will have a face lift. The '06 models in asia seem to look identical, but only have projector headlights instead. Everything seems to be the same on the outside.
