This should make for a wonderful first post. Unfortunately today I had some maniac who was extremely intoxicated and he attempted to get into my house claiming that he owned my house. I in turn of course called the police, and when they arrived he preceded to tell them that not only was my house his, but *his* (my) G35 was broken down and he couldnt unlock the door. He attempted to unlock the door with one of his keys and he jammed it so hard that he broke off his key into the hole. I managed to get the key out, ,but something is still inside or the lock is broken because I can not turn my key in the lock at all. Does anyone know how much it would cost to fix this (assuming the entire lock has to be replaced)? I never use my key at all to open the door

 

Honestly U shouldn't be paying for nothing.....he should, if not, charge vandlism on him. Hope everything works out.

 

Wow that is a strange incident. I'm sure you can charge whatever damages that drunk caused to him. I don't know what a new lock plus installation would cost, but I can't imagine it's cheap. Your dealer's parts dept. will help.
I've never used my manual lock either, but if your fob's battery dies, you'll need it.

that seems like a really bizarre story. kinda like the story u make up to hide the fact that you were really trying to stick your weener in it. har har. i kid.

sucks tho. i say dont fix it. just use your keyfob to get in. also thieves cant break in thru ur door lock either now.
