Had my tint for 2 years and no scratches. You just have to be careful and keep it coated with a slick surface. I use Eagle One plastic polish and it seems to make it slide better.

Do you have any problems on the door glass at the top of the window where it touches the weather stripping? Constant up and down of the glass against the rubber must do something.

Nope, nothing at all. I had my car tinted within the first month of getting it. I swear by the Eagle One plastic polish. I discovered it when using it to clean helmet visors on full face motorcycle helmets. After application, the cloth literally glides across the finish. I am constantly putting my windows up and down.

Quite frankly, I thought it would be a problem in the beginning and was prepared to have the windows retinted every few years but it has been unnecessary so far.

Yea...I'm kinda fed up with the car stressing me out with dings, scratches, and what not.
Apply it directly to the tinted side with a microfiber cloth. If no microfiber available, use terry cloth.

i guess this is pretty common because ever since I got mine done, (about 2 weeks ago), every time I roll my windows up and down..its like the windows are having a hard time ...squeekin a bit. I guess I can try that Eagle One polish stuff

I've had tint on all my cars (prelude, accord, diamante, acura TLS, and now my '05 coupe). I've never heard of the tint scratching on the inside of the car unless it's been hit with something. Maybe you should stop putting sand in your window cleaner bottle, and it will stop happening? haha

I have the latest Quantum smoked tint on my car, and it looks great, with no problems!

I've also had tint on all of my cars and never had a problem with scratches. I wouldn't worry about it unless if you're driving your car on the beach!

Well, what i was talkin about was not scratches..its just that my windows arent opening as smooth as they were without the tint. Is this the issue with most?

I don't think that has anything to do with tint. But....just in case, use the prescribed Eagle One stuff. It's available at Pep Boys, Advance Auto etc.
