Ticket for front window tints. What to do?
See: http://www.campbelltint.com/automotive.htm The only portion of the windshield that can be tinted is approximately the top 6" or so, only if the windshield does not have factory tint already. Click on the link at the bottom of the Campbell Tint page to see the CA law.
alright sounds good. I actually have a lifetime warrenty on my tints so once I get them removed, I guess I could always go back and get them reapplied without getting charged; then again, I guess I shall play it safe for now and keep the tints on the driver & passenger side removed.
hey what a coincidence, i got a fixing ticket about a week ago for my window tint too..! i thought if you don't pay the ticket they fine you some more moeny and then you don't have to take off your tint.. is that true?
I would just remove it. get a window scraper with 10 spare blades and
a Windex with Ammonia-D and it'll come off with some elbow grease...
$10. oh yeh, paper towels, add $2.

I had a great day today coming back from the mall until I got pulled over by an LPD (Lomita Police Department) officer and received a ticket for having tints on my front window. The officer told me all I had to do was go to court with my tints removed and I wouldn't get charged for the ticket. I would under normal circumstances follow these terms, but considering the fact that the tints costed me money (about $120, front, side, back 15% tints) and getting them removed would be simply a waste. I knew when I got these tints I would get myself into one of these situations sooner or later, but I never figured it would come so soon. What have you guys done when you received a ticket for your tints?
