I currently have both and they are completely different cars. The G35 is more GT, while the C5 is more sports car.
The G is heavy and not particularly fast, but it rides nice, handles and brakes well and makes a nice daily driver. The fit and finish in the G is far superior to the C5 as are the seats (even the sport seats which I have in the C5). The G is tight and mostly rattle/squeak free. With the exception of the clutch pedal and shifter, NVH is minimal, even with the 19" rims.
My C5 has the Z51 suspension, so the ride is harsh. The car gets hot inside after extended drives and it rattles and creaks even though it only has 40k miles on it. But it's a far better performer out of the box with better acceleration, handling and braking. For me, it's not a good daily driver because it's simply not comfortable enough. Mine is mostly for track use.
So, to answer your question, depending upon what you are looking for, each car will satisfy you in a different way.
