Won 2 out of 3 tickets ... YAY!!!
I got 3 tickets last year from January to June. I was really scarred that my insurance will go thru the roof since I can only take one off the off the record by going to the traffic school.
So, I went to school for one of the tickets that carried two violations, speeding and unsafe lane change. For the other two tickets, I pleaded not guilty and took my chances in the court. For one of them the cop did not show up and the case was dismissed. The ticket was for making right turn on red where it was prohibited. For the second court trial, the cop did not show up and he REQUESTED that the case gets dismissed.
I got very lucky....
I must say that I do believe cops discriminate against drivers with sportier cars. I drive my Camry every day to work (15K miles per year) and I drive it the same way as I drive my g35. I've never gotten a ticket in that car. (knocking on the wood). On the other hand, I drove my g35 for about 5K miles last year and I got 3 tickets. Or is it just a bad luck?
I did learn my lesson. I do not (well, I try not to) speed anymore.

Congrats on your good fortune..
I used to believe the same thing a long time ago, but have come to realize that in most cases like this, the drivers (by virtue of the history of the model) have earned the reputation their car carries.
What I mean is, if a cop catches a lot of folks speeding in the Gs, those of us who don't speed or race get to suffer right along with the rest of the folks who earned us the reputation. Our insurance rates get the benefit of their misdeeds as well.
Unfortunate but true.
I used to get my dander up when I heard the expressions "drunk as a sailor" or "cusses like a sailor."
Now that I've been a sailor for 24 years I know where the sayings come from. We've earned it. Maybe not as individuals, but definitely as a group.
