27 days with out my baby
27 days with out my baby
It's been in the body shop ever since the accident 27 days ago.
It was supposed to be done yesterday, but now they're telling me Friday. I'm tired of driving around this stupid dodge dakota rental, could have been worse, they were trying to give me a kia (the really small one). I think 27 days is an awful long time since there was no frame damage, just unbolt, bolt new on, make sure it works and paint
. I have a ton of parts that I've ordered or purchased that are sitting in my living room begging to be put on the G.

Everything on the front of the car forward of the engine needs to be replaced, but somehow, my intake survived the accident and I'm glad I have not gone FI yet as that would have been destroyed. Its just that everytime I call they claim to be waiting on a part and its a lame part, we've been waiting for a radiator, uh we've been waiting for the ac compressor, but they got the muffler bearings in

Ouch . . . don't feel bad. When my Z was hit by a drunk driver (while it was parked in front of my house), it took 2 months to get it back. It had to go back one day for another buff job (**** poor work) and another day for a wheel bearing issue that was never discovered . . .
I came out pretty good in the whole ordeal: they gave me a new Camry rental (all I asked for since I used it for work--sales rep), paid for my deductible (filed through my insurance and then Progressive paid them--much safer IMO), and I received $3000 for my diminished value claim since the accident technically "depreciated" my vehicle, which had never been wrecked.
Once it was all said and done, I took it to 2 car shows, won Best of Show in each, then sold her . . . I'm a perfectionist and I wasn't 100% happy with the results.
