I had a setup in my 04 (see signature) that was rediculously loud. I loved the bass, but it shook the trunk so bad that I had to spend 900 dollars on dynamat and tac-mat. Now in my 05 6MT I have just the stock bose, and I would like more bass, but I went down that road before and I felt it took up to much money, space, and time. I have just learned to live with stock.

My system from the 04 is for sale btw, pm me if you are interested in pics.

If your car is an 05, did you know that the radio have a defect when the Bass and the Treble is set at +5? Maybe thats why you think it has no bass. It sets to 0 eveytime you turn the engine off. If you keep it at +4 it's fine. Or switch back eveytime you turn the engine off. That's whay I do with mine.

Well, even tho, there is no bass and treble what so ever.

I have an Apline Type -R with the Alpine mono amp and a remote control to change frequency, input, decibels, etc... from the front seat. It's awesome thing to have.
Cutchfield seems to be the only reliable place to get it from.

The amp, the woofer and the remote work great.

All in all the wiring is probably $50-75 for 4 guage to back, $100 for 1 farad cap, $220+ for amp depending on deals going on, box $150+, Woofer $110+, Remote $100 or better. Also installed a switch to turn the amp off when I don't want it on.

Whole setup figure $700-800+ depending on specifically what you want.

I did my install and saved like $150 but have done it before.

Wow, my 2 Alpine 12" type-R's, JL Audio 500/1 Amp, Cap (About $200) + install and wiring cost me about 2k. Then the dynamat + install cost about $950. Still trying to sell the system, want some money back since I got rid of all the dynamat in my 04 and Dont feel like doing it again.
