I don't know a lot about brakes, but just had the same thing happen last weekend. The rear brakes were ok, it was only the front. The shop said that the pads infiniti uses have some kind of "indicator" so that when they get close to being worn out, the squeak.
I'm on my 3rd set (2003 w/ 29,000). Set that came with car lasted 20K, Infiniti replaced for free but they only lasted until 28,500. Figured I try a slightly different pad this time to balance life/performance.

I take it you mean when you are NOT on the brakes? If so it is prolly dirt or gravel in the caliper. They will pull the pads and blow it out and that should take care of it.

Oh well it probably matters and I forget to mention its a 2003 6mt. Theres just under 15k miles though. I hope Infiniti gives me new pads free. 15k is too soon!

The noise is probably brake related and could be just a glazed pad. The dealer can easily determine the source. Noises from our brakes is common.

Since you have an '03 6M/T, then you have Brembo brakes which are not covered under Nissan's extended brake warranty.
