Woot!

Hi All,

I have been debating getting a radar detector for a while now but all the ones that seemed nice to me were spendy and it wasnt a big enough desire to spend that kinda money.

Well todays WOOT! is a radar detector =)

WOOT!

Is it a good deal, bad deal, killer deal?

^ I agree...I think it is a waste of money. If you are going to exceed the posted speed limits, you will want something that you can rely on.....I wouldn't rely on the Woot.

Sometimes they get some very good deals on nice items but other times its just junk being blown out at nice prices.

I'm guessing this one is the latter =(

thanks,

Funny thing is that i dont speed intentionally. BUT there have been a few times that i have flown by a cop going over the speed limit and didnt realize that i was. Last time i had a radar detector i actually obeyed the posted speed limit signs MORE because i would look down at the spedometer every time it chirped and adjust my speed.

I've read articles that claim there are studies proving that people with radar detectors are in less accidents. (you can find a study to support any argument i guess)

I find having a radar/laser detector is a necessity......typically I drive slightly over the speed limit. I just would recommend getting a better one than the one on Woot.
