Blown Engine with Pics

I think thats a photoshop. Service managers are telling us not to believe what we are seeing on the internet about oil consumption and blown engines. These pics are just as fake as the high quality blown motor pics that Grubbs posted last year. 
I would speculate they burned off too much oil (if not spraying). If youre burning a qt/1k, you can certainly do this by 3k. I'd say alot of people dont expect to have to watch their oil on a 1yr old car.

Actually this was a trade in, another dealer had bought the car not inspecting it before they bought it. It is covered under warranty [don't ask me how], if I remember correctly. And like I said the car had just come in and was put on the lift [draining all the fluids] so the tech hadn't had a chance to get inside it and inspect anything, I'll hopefully know more tomorrow as it will probably be in the shop awhile.
This is only the 2nd G I've seen come in for something major like this - the other was a sedan with transmission problems [6MT]. But a few other Infinitis have come in with thrown rods also....

I think this guys problem was he didn't use the brakes enough - you still hold the record for going through brakes the fastest - so don't worry!
