That's no good. Is this typical for the TT or Audis in general? And if so why does he put up with it?

Could I at least use the back seat in the TT for short rides around town for a 3rd passenger? Like going to the movies, etc? I have no plans to take long trips with more than 2 people, but half hour trips I'd like to be able to achieve.
Depends on the size of the passenger. If nothing else the passenger could sit side ways across the seat. As I said I had a roadster which didn't have a back seat, but my recollection is that the back seat of the TT was about the same size as my 996. In other words suitable only for children.

Next time you are at the Audi dealer sit in the back seat, and see what you think.

I contemplated the same thing. In the end, it came down to the fact that for the TT dressed up the way I wanted it would have cost over 10K more than the G. To me, that's insane, a 30%+ PREMIUM over the G? No way, not worth it.

I live in WI and based on feedback I've gotten from owners I'm not concerned about winter driving with the traction system. I've got the 6MT but bought a set of '03 OEM 17" wheels and will be putting snows on the for winter. No regrets at all.

My wife has an A4 and while it's a nice car, it's no G35 - and I'm not even talking about performance numbers - strictly build quality, fit, finish and feel.

The A4, at least the new body style has a far superior interior to the new '05 G. Fit and finish, etc... The TT has the same but it's a 2 seater that goes for $10k more. The difference in car does not warrant $10 grand.

I have to admit that TT have a very high fashion style design but looks like a chick's car. IMO, don't get too offended, gay guy may more likey choose TT over G. This is what we've discussed at my work(hair salon). Personally, I choose G.

I am thinking about the same thing. But I would go with the 6 spd 225 quattro. the 1.8T is highly modifiable. and the 1.8T is a proven motor.

One thing to keep in mind, is that although the Audi's are nice cars, their longevity is questionable due to the myriad of Emissions Control modules and other parts failing. It seems like clockwork on VW and Audi's and are NOT cheap.

But then again, my clutch makes more noise than my buddy's band.

Everyone has an opinion but to me that is pretty ridiculous. It does not strike me as a car that fashions itself towards a particular gender or interest at all. Its very european and modern, I'll give you that, and the G seems aggressive in comparison, but you can hardly call the TT a girl's car. Its not a VW Bug convertable, even though its evokative of said car.

It's not a vw beetle convertible but it doesn't get any closer. Well, there is an S2000, and the z3, the Jetta, the miata, the cabriolet (there are way too many dudes driving these)......

YET the #1 most driven car buy gay men is a Jeep Wrangler =) (according to a survey that was on the radio the other day...i cant remember which magazine they were getting the survey from)

I will admit tho that the TT does have a feminine look to it. I personally like the lines of the G over the arch of the TT.

thats just me.

Both cars are sweeet...

TT is a cool ride, but imho, you need to really get some mods on there quick to make it look "not gay"....but with mods, they are really sick!

nice BBS wheels
some German bodykit that nobody has ever heard of
lowered
loud azz BOV

then your cool....

but the G, now they look sick right outta the Box - and with some mods (See sig) they look even better

Both are great cars though - im just super-biased and i love *** Cars -.-

Interestingly enough I just read a survey about masculine and feminine cars. The winner in the masculinity contest by far was the Porsche 911, and in second place was the Corvette. I believe the Miata was at the top or at least near the top on the feminine side.
